DESCRIPTION:Join the AAT Community on Thursday,  November 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM CT for a presentation with Q&A/open discussion on, “Supply Chain in the Utility Sector – A journey through Innovations!” led by Vivek Kirpalaney, Sr. Manager, Supply Chain at Ontario Power Generation (OPG).\nSession Description:\n\nAs a key consumer and generator of Data, the Supply Chain Division of any mature utility company is arguably in a pivotal position to influence the bottom line in a way that few other departments can. Vivek Kirpalaney has spent nearly half of his 26-year career at Ontario Power Generation (OPG) learning procurement methods, analyzing processes and innovating to implement technological changes in a production environment. During this session he will be sharing with us some of his key learnings while he continues to build technology into process-governance at North America’s “First-of-a-Kind” Small Modular Reactor (SMR) units, currently under construction in Ontario, Canada.\n\n\n\nThe discussion will include:\n\n1. “Guiding” the Buying Process\n2. Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) as applied in the nuclear industry\n3. RFIDs in Power Plants\n4.
