SUMMARY:February 17 Data Science Community – Operationalizing Advanced Forecasting at Scale
DESCRIPTION:Join the Data Science Community on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 1:00 PM CT for a presentation with Q&A/open discussion on, “Operationalizing Advanced Forecasting at Scale” led by the following speakers from Ameren:\n \n\nPrasenjit Shil, Manager, Digital Innovation – Ameren\nJason Liao, Innovation Intern, Data, Analytics, and AI team – Ameren\nJeffrey Huang, Innovation Center Intern, Data, Analytics, and AI team – Ameren\nAbhishek Goswami, Strategic Leader in Data & AI – Ameren\n\n \nSession Details:\nAccurate forecasting for utility operations and infrastructure planning requires both advanced models and robust production frameworks. This presentation highlights two complementary use cases delivered: day-ahead hourly electric sales forecasting using deep learning and classical time-series models, and long-term gas demand and peak forecasting at the pressure-system level using statistically adjusted end-use and econometric approaches.\n\n\n\nWith approx. 300 pressure systems modeled for gas operations, multiple data sources (AMR/AMI, Economy, numerous weather stations, energy efficiency data) integrated, and automated pipelines deployed, this presentation will focus on how scalable data engineering and CI/CD enable consistent, repeatable forecasting in production environments. Lessons learned on modeling, governance, performance monitoring, and operational integration will also be discussed.\n \n*UAI Utility Members can register and access all nine of our Analytics Communities via our Community Page ( https://utilityanalytics.com/communities/ ). Not a part of the Data Science Community and want to join this session? Please use our direct link here ( https://utilityanalytics.com/communities/data-science/ ) to request access. You will find the Teams meeting credentials to the upcoming meeting at the top of the feed on this page. If you have any questions or run into any issues, please contact us at info@utilityanalytics.com ( mailto:info@utilityanalytics.com ).\n
