In an effort to strengthen financial, operational, customer, and employee excellence, data needs to be fully recognized as a strategic asset and unlock the informational value of our data for industry trends such as AI. A data strategy promotes a holistic approach to managing data quality, data governance, and data assets across the enterprise. Exelon’s enterprise data strategy will put in place the following critical structures to capture the benefits of data: Vision and Critical Data driven to ensure outcome-driven design of data related systems & business processes. Data Governance to manage data quality and clarify ownership of data across the organization. Technical Architecture to establish effective platforms, systems, products, & tools to manage data. Information Architecture to organize and codify data models to enable effective management of data assets.
