DESCRIPTION:Join the Customer Analytics Community on Tuesday, December 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM CT for a presentation with Q&A/open discussion on, “Examining the Effects of Usage Notifications on Customer Behavior,” led by William Dula, Staff Data Scientist, Customer Experience at Georgia Power Company.\n \nSession Description:\nAffordability is a chief concern for utility customers across the country. Utilities are meeting this challenge through a variety of solutions including energy assistance and demand-side management programs. With the availability of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and the computing resources to take advantage of its capabilities, a new solution has emerged: Usage Notifications. Usage Notification solutions allow customers to get timely updates on their usage and be cognizant of their consumption. In this session, we will discuss the findings from comparing the 2024 and 2025 summer usage of Georgia Power customers that use Usage Notifications.
