Greg Flay, Chief Technology Officer, Austin Energy

Greg Flay joined Austin Energy in October 2016 as Chief Technology Officer. In his role as Chief Technology Officer, Greg oversees corporate strategic planning, technology roadmap management, enterprise architecture, technology selection and research and development functions — including oversight of Austin Energy’s relationship with the Electric Power Research Institute. His focus is on transparency, operations and the speed and strategic alignment of technology acquisition. Greg has more than 20 years of leadership and management experience in the power industry and related fields. His diverse leadership roles include information technology; mergers and acquisitions; business operations; business analysis; strategy; technology process controls; program and project management; technology portfolio management; and enterprise architecture.

Norvin Clontz, Director, Data Science Innovation, Duke Energy

Norv is a business leader, data scientist, and project manager focused on building high-performance analytics teams at Duke Energy. Coming from a background in consulting, Norv joined Duke Energy in 2014 as a Senior member of Grid Analytics Data Science team when it was first established in the same year. In his current role as Director of Data Science Innovation, he leads a team of analytics professionals focused on leveraging the latest technologies to develop advanced analytics solutions on the big data sets produced by the smart grid assets. He is also co-leader of the MAD Lab which is dedicated to advancing Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning inside Duke Energy.

David Treichler, Director, Technology & Strategy, Oncor Electric Delivery

David is the Director of Technology & Strategy at Oncor Electric Delivery LLC. He has a diverse background with fifteen years management experience in Classified Intelligence, Defense and Aerospace. His current role is to lead Business Development efforts outside ERCOT and financial modeling for strategy and technology adoption.

Vijoy Mathew, Executive Director, Enterprise Architecture & Application Services, Consumers Energy

Vijoy Mathew joined Consumers Energy in 2016 and is responsible for architecture, software development and testing services delivering projects, enhancements and operational support. He was the accountability leader for consumers’ IT delivery track in 2017, working across IT to meet goals of speed-to-market and on-time delivery; and for workforce planning, marketing, strategy and innovation goals in 2018. Vijoy is an IT champion for analytics efforts across the enterprise.
