Below, you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions about using UAI Connect, joining Communities, accessing resources, and more.

General Website Questions

A: UAI Connect is Utility Analytics Institute’s online member community—a collaborative space where utility professionals can engage, network, and share insights around data, analytics, and innovation.

A: UAI Connect is available to utility members, solution provider members, and approved professionals affiliated with UAI. If you’re unsure about your access, contact info@utilityanalytics.com.

A: Yes! UAI membership is enterprise-wide. Any employee from a member utility or solution provider member company with a valid company email address can sign up for UAI Connect.

A: From the member sign-in page, click “Forgot Password.” You’ll receive an email with a password reset link.

A: Yes. Logged-in members can go to their profile, select “Account,” enter a new password, and save the update to their UAI Connect profile.

Using UAI Connect

A: Click your profile icon in the top-right corner and select “Edit Profile.” You can update your title, bio, and upload a profile picture and banner image.

A: Use the “Members” tab to search for colleagues by name, company, or expertise. Click “Connect” to send a connection request and begin networking.

A: Yes! Once you’re connected with another member, you can use private messaging through their profile.

Communities & Collaboration

A: UAI Analytics Communities allow members to connect, collaborate, and share knowledge in a non-competitive space. There are currently nine communities that meet monthly via web calls and have online spaces on UAI Connect with discussion forums, resource libraries, and member directories.
Please note: Utility members receive full access. Solution provider members access may vary depending on membership level.

A: Visit the “Communities” page to see a full list. Click into any community and hit “Request to Join.” A UAI team member will review and admit you within one business day.
Note: Access may vary for solution provider members based on membership.

A: Communities are dedicated spaces for ongoing engagement within specific topic areas. Forums are structured threads for UAI news and where members can post questions, ideas, or updates.

A: Go to the Community you’d like to post in (e.g., Data Science Community), then start a new discussion through the “Discussions” tab or by posting to the main activity feed.

Events & Resources

A: Check the “Events” tab in UAI Connect for a full list of upcoming community meetings, trainings, webinars, roundtables, and in-person events.

A: Yes. Visit the “Library” section to access recordings and/or presentations from past meetings and events.

A: Go to the “Events” page, select the event you want to attend, and click “Register.”

A: Go to the UAI Connect Library to browse all member-exclusive content. Use filters like date, content type, and title—and include strong keywords in your search.

A: Absolutely! Members can submit case studies, articles, or tools via the “Submit Content” button or by reaching out to SJoralemon@Utilityanalytics.com

Recognition & Awards

A: The UAI Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding individuals, teams, and organizations in utility analytics across six categories. Members are encouraged to nominate peers and learn more through on the awards page listed under programs. 

Troubleshooting & Support

A: Try logging out and back in, or clear your browser cache. If the issue continues, email info@utilityanalytics.com for help.

A: From the login screen, click “Forgot Password?” and follow the steps to reset via email.

A: Go to “Account” under your profile settings to update your  password or personal details. To update your email, reach out to our support team at info@utilityanalytics.com.
