UAI Communities offer utility members an exclusive opportunity to build long-term relationships and collaborate with peers in analytics. Developed for and led by utility analytics professionals, each community focuses on topics that matter to utility analytics professionals of all levels including data governance, customer experience, and generative AI. Through monthly Community Conversations, members gain insights, resources, and execution frameworks to drive analytics adoption and innovation within their organizations.

The Data Science Community examines machine learning and deep learning models, in depth, including data modeling use cases from other industries. Members focus on models in early-stage exploration or development emphasizing collaborative exploration and knowledge sharing.
Enterprise Analytics Community
The Enterprise Analytics Community showcases successes, shares experiences, and gains valuable insights as members explore the challenges and requirements of making enterprise analytics a reality. Key areas of exploration include building an enterprise analytics roadmap, data governance program, and technical foundation.
Generative AI Community
The Generative AI Community fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing among utility members as they explore and implement Generative AI technologies. Members exchange ideas, experiences, and best practices to apply Generative AI in the utility sector. The Generative AI Community is currently limited to utility members.

The Analytics Architecture & Technology Community focuses on identifying architecture and technology patterns to build and grow successful analytics and data science programs. Members explore modern architecture, hidden opportunities, agility, democratization, budgeting, and big data.
Asset Health Analytics Community
The Asset Health Analytics Community shares strategies and use cases to advance asset health solutions for utilities. Members explore modeling techniques utilizing advanced analytics, including machine learning and other AI fields, with data sources like satellite imagery, drone and sensor data, AMI data, and outage history to assess asset condition, prioritize maintenance, and enhance operational resiliency.
Customer Analytics Community
The Customer Analytics Community shares and explores ideas, experiences, and use cases to meet evolving customer expectations, deepen customer relationships, and improve customer experience through analytics utilizing customer segmentation and a broad spectrum of customer information.
Grid Analytics Community
The Grid Analytics Community explores the use of grid analytics as “eyes in the field” to monitor grid health, reduce equipment failure, and mitigate system risk to drive operational efficiencies, maintain and improve system reliability, and improve customer experience. Member exploration includes predictive and prescriptive analytics, forecasting and optimization, and real-time and near-time analytics.
Natural Gas Analytics Community
The Natural Gas Analytics Community focuses on advancing the natural gas industry through analytics. Members showcase methods driving real change and share challenges. Key areas include risk analytics, process performance, analytic methods, and predictive analytics to improve reliability and safety.
Safety Analytics Community
The Safety Analytics Community aims to reduce Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) exposures and energy hazards by collaborating to identify descriptive, prescriptive, and cognitive analytics solutions and best practices in process, methodology, and data collection. Members share safety initiatives, lessons learned, challenges, and outcomes.
