Session Description:
The “811 Risk Tool” – Turning 811 Data into Damage Prevention, takes an inside look at one of Avista’s homegrown tools designed to reduce excavation damage on underground gas facilities. This session will explore the catalyst behind the tool’s development, Avista’s current performance using industry recognized damage ratios, and how data is leveraged to identify risk, prioritize outreach, and document mitigation efforts. Attendees will gain an understanding of the tool’s structure, the data sources that power it, and how it continues to evolve as part of Avista’s damage prevention strategy.
The session will also highlight the impact of Avista’s dedicated Damage Prevention Specialists and how they use the 811 Risk Tool to support targeted outreach and risk reduction efforts. We will review key results, discuss future enhancements, and conclude with a live demonstration of the tool in action. Time will be reserved at the end of the session for questions and discussion.
