March 17 Customer Analytics Community – How AMI Driven AI Models Are Transforming EV Identification and Adoption Forecasting

Join the Customer Analytics Community on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM CT for a presentation with Q&A/open discussion on, “How AMI Driven AI Models Are Transforming EV Identification and Adoption Forecasting” led by Vidhi Shah, Senior Data Scientist – Corporate Energy Forecasting at DTE Energy.

Session Description:

As EV adoption accelerates, understanding where electric vehicles are appearing on the system, and which customers are most likely to adopt next has become increasingly important. We’ll walk through the AI driven framework that analyzes subtle patterns within hourly AMI or Advanced Metering Infrastructure to identify likely EV owners and estimate future EV propensity.
This session will walk through how we approached the modeling challenge, the signals we uncovered in the data, and how the framework was validated. Join us to learn how advanced analytics can reveal EV behavior that traditional methods often miss.
