September 15 Data Science Community – Agentic Systems intro for Data Scientists

Join the Data Science Community on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 1:00 PM CT for a presentation/workshop on, “Agentic Systems intro for Data Scientists,” led by Manuel Zubiaur –  Senior Data Scientist at 1898 & Co.

Session Description:

Agentic AI systems are reshaping how utilities apply analytics, but how are they actually built? This interactive workshop takes data scientists inside agentic architecture: planning, tool use, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop guardrails. We’ll trace how an agent moves from request to completed task, selecting tools, evaluating intermediate results, and producing structured output. Concepts are grounded in a practical utility use case. Attendees will leave understanding how agentic systems work and when an agentic approach is the right choice.
