January 21 Grid Analytics Community – Leveraging AI and Pattern Matching to Automate Fault Analysis in Power Systems

Join the Grid Analytics Community on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 1:00 PM CT for a presentation with Q&A/open discussion on, Leveraging AI and Pattern Matching to Automate Fault Analysis in Power Systems” led by Mark Diamond, Grid Monitoring Product Manager at Qualitrol.

Session Description:

This session demonstrates how artificial intelligence and pattern matching techniques can transform fault analysis by automatically identifying fault categories and root causes from Digital Fault Recorder (DFR) and Fault Management System (FMS) records. Learn how machine learning models trained on thousands of labeled records achieve high accuracy, reduce manual effort, and improve grid reliability. We’ll share insights from pilot projects and explore how these innovations integrate into next-generation grid monitoring software.
